About

The world needs mindful leaders and teams who are energized by their work and committed to their impact. And the world needs them—and their organizations—to be at their best. We can help.

As seasoned leadership consultants, we bring diverse talents and a purposeful lens. We understand the demands of nonprofits and service-based businesses because we’ve worked for and with them for decades. We’ve seen too many clients and colleagues experience disengagement, fear, and burnout.

That’s why we created Elevatr—to help other purpose-driven professionals create the space for more mindfulness and less overwhelm so they can operate their enterprises with energy and skill.

Hi there, I’m Kim, a leadership and communications consultant whose career path provides a wealth of experiences that inform my work and perspectives—as a corporate professional, business owner, nonprofit executive, and board member. Throughout my career, I have most enjoyed opportunities to develop and implement strategic vision, drive positive change, and mobilize teams through transparency and meaningful vision.

In my previous roles, I have led clients and organizations through transformational growth, completion of capital projects, strategic planning processes, brand redevelopment, and the launch of new lines of service. A published author and seasoned speaker, I’ve made more than 100 presentations to a variety of audiences and appeared on radio, TV, and print outlets across the country.

When I’m not working on Elevatr, you might find me devouring a bag of microwave popcorn while streaming a new series. I’ve also been known to spontaneously break out in song and, much to my coworkers’ dismay, apply liberal use of air quotes and jazz hands to enhance my communication. I foster my own mindfulness through yoga, drinking tea, taking neighborhood walks, and engaging in intuitive practices for self-awareness. While I am trying really hard to bloom where I am planted, travel and exploration remain my most passionate pursuits, and I have visited 16 countries in addition to 29 states in the U.S.

Kim was brought in as Interim CEO of the agency during a leadership transition and executive search process that lasted many months. The agency had grown rapidly, and it was a chaotic time with much to be addressed. Kim is truly gifted at helping organizations navigate change. Her sure-footed guidance was essential to leaving the agency in a strong position for the incoming CEO. Could not recommend her highly enough!”

Hello, I’m Ian, a change leader and process improvement consultant. As a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Prosci Change Management Practitioner, my career has spanned a variety of industries, from financial services and pharmaceutical marketing to magazine publishing and education. I find much of my enjoyment lies in helping to shape the vision of leadership and bring it into reality.

Through collaboration with leaders and teams, I have provided the creative guidance to maximize efficiency, eliminate bottlenecks, and forge the path between the way things are done today and the potential for the future. I am energized when I am able to empower others to look beyond the status quo for solutions to their most persistent challenges.

I consider myself a life-long learner and, as a result, have many interests including road cycling, woodworking, watercolor painting, and photography. An art major in college, I continue to nurture my creative practices, as well as incorporate them in my work. I find projects everywhere and get great enjoyment from tinkering, fixing, and building. I was born in the U.K. just outside of London and moved to the States when I was eight, which means I often seek out a frothy pint of Guinness with a side of fish and chips. I am also an enthusiastic traveler because it changes my perspective and helps me see myself and the world in a different light.

“I had the privilege of working with Ian as my leadership coach, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services. Ian significantly enhanced my leadership skills and overall professional growth. His coaching style is intuitive and practical, making the learning process more effective and enjoyable. Ian’s ability to listen intently allowed him to understand my needs. In doing so, he provided practical tools to assess my strengths and areas for growth. I also valued how he integrated mindfulness and self-reflection into our sessions and challenged me to make those part of my daily routine. If you’re seeking a coach who combines deep listening with practical guidance, Ian is the ideal choice.”
