Leading a nonprofit organization is more than a job.

It’s a commitment to create positive change—one that often comes with complex challenges.

We created the Purpose-Driven Peer Advisory for C-level nonprofit leaders who are:

  • Navigating tricky issues or dynamics with their staff, board, or stakeholders.

  • Growing their organizations and want insights from peers who have managed significant change.

  • First-time executives or new to the sector and want a supportive setting to build a trusted network, share challenges, and learn best practices.

  • Considering a career move, promotion, or retirement and need an objective sounding board to work through important considerations and create a transition plan.

In a demanding role like this, what would it feel like to:

  • Operate with clear vision for impact that is that is sustainable for yourself, your team, and your organization.

  • Lead your staff and board with greater confidence.

  • Position yourself as a leader who is effectively managing your organization.

  • Feel less scattered and spend more time in your zone of genius.

  • Know you are not alone in your challenges.

  • Have a trusted network of peers who want to create a safe space to discuss the demands of a C-level role.

  • Make a meaningful difference even when you know you can’t do it all.

We understand that it can be difficult to cultivate the connections that help you achieve these outcomes.

  • If you’re like us, you’re often attending educational events that provide great content, but not the means to have deeper follow-up conversations with peers and advisors.

  • Maybe you’re meeting with other leaders sporadically, but finding those one-off coffee chats offer limited solutions.

  • Or you’re just going it alone and doing the best you can.

We can’t deny the importance of connecting with people who can mirror back to us who we are, what we’re going through, and what is possible for us.

With a trusted peer network—guided by a facilitator who has walked in your shoes—you’ll create the space to:

  • Develop a motivating vision for your own leadership.

  • Feel a greater sense of influence over the chaos.

  • Create a doable plan to promote your well-being and resiliency.

  • Think deeply about the important issues that get lost in the busyness of your work days.

  • Share leading practices, strategies, and resources.

  • Gain a variety of perspectives on complex decisions.

This inaugural program is curated for a group of no more than eight executives.

The newness of this program doesn’t mean we’re new to supporting nonprofit leaders. Here’s what a participant in our recent one-day, C-suite resilience retreat had to say.

“I am so glad that I prioritized this retreat in my schedule. It was so helpful to take a few hours to step back from the day-to-day grind and reflect on resiliency—a quality that is so important for organizations and specifically for leaders. Spending time in this retreat among other nonprofit leaders helped me to expand my own capacity.”

— Lelia King, Executive Director, Build Carolina

Just imagine what you could accomplish if you had access to this brain trust for eight months.

The C-Suite Sessions: Purpose-Driven Peer Advisory includes:

  • An initial 1:1 coaching session with Kim to identify your current challenges and understand your personal goals.

  • A half-day retreat to step back and refine your leadership vision through our Mindful Leadership Map. This April retreat is our kickoff together, as a group, and offers the space to gain clarity, reconnect with your purpose, and prepare for the months ahead.

  • Three focused, two-hour in-person group sessions that delve into topics selected by the group’s current needs—from engaging your board and dealing with difficult staff situations, to planning for growth and fostering clear communication. Each session is designed to address real-time challenges and provide actionable insights from peers.

  • One 90-minute virtual gathering to engage in a fireside chat with a seasoned nonprofit leader.

  • A mastermind breakfast to expand your network and engage on a deeper level alongside your board chair or a nonprofit peer. This informal gathering offers a chance to broaden your insights and discuss a timely issue in a relaxed, supportive environment.

  • Closing 1:1 coaching session with Kim to reflect, review, refine, and align your Mindful Leadership Map with intentional next steps for sustained impact.
